You can put that in your blog!

Harry is not very happy with me. Monday was a Bank Holiday and we were looking forward to the extra day off. It started well, a bit of a lie-in followed by a leisurely breakfast, then pottering about until lunch time. After lunch, we planned to do some work in the garden before going on to our favourite afternoon activity...

I've neglected the garden this year but it seems to have got along nicely without me. Most of my plants are in containers and just needed watering and weeding. I had nearly finished a small patio area, when I spotted a weed growing up between the slats of the wooden bench from the border behind. Several feet of it came snaking up through the seat as I pulled on it, though it still remained firmly in the ground. Foolishly, I gave it a good tug and an excruciating pain shot up my back.

I couldn't move and Harry was nowhere to be seen. He came running when he heard me hollering and, half carrying me, managed to get me into the house and flat on the floor before I passed out. Harry knows the drill, we've been there before, though not for a while. I have a long-standing disc problem that gives me little trouble as long as I take care. Even before we started ttwd, I had a list of rules designed to keep my back pain-free. Not weeding in the borders is one of them.

Once I was settled, Harry went to clear up outside, returning with a face like thunder. He reminded me that, firstly, weeding the borders is his job, not mine. Secondly, what I had been tugging on was a sucker from a tree, not a weed. He said he'd like to spank me there and then but, obviously, I'd have to wait for my punishment. I must have looked shocked because he said, "Yes, I did say punishment, you can put that in your blog."

I'm still waiting but not for much longer. I've been diligent with my remedial exercises and should be fit again in a couple of days. Maybe Harry will remember that punishment doesn't figure in our version of ttwd. Wish me luck.

BTW, Lindy from DOWNUNDER DREAMING is suffering from back pain at the moment, through no fault of her own. If you haven't already done so, please send her some positive thoughts, she could really do with them.

  1. Rosie,
The word punishment is not thrown around here very often either. Your guy wants you to take care of yourself and that probably also means he will be taking care of you. It will happen and be over very soon. Right?

  2. I hope you're ok now! And I agree with Meredith!

  3. Ugh..back pain is no soon as I feel my start to twitch, I get very careful...been lucky for a while now. Glad it is getting better, but I do think your backside will be next in line..
    hugs abby

  4. Sorry you hurt your back, Rosie...hope you are healed soon. Have a funny feeling that even though punishment might not have figured in to your portion of ttwd, Harry is about to change that. Good luck. Sending healing energy your way.

    Hugs and blessings...Cat

  5. I am so sorry your back is bad too. I suffer as well, ugh! I know my triggers well.

Hope your sitting isn't too painful!

  6. Oh dear, I hope you feel better soon and Harry loses his memory this week.
    love Jan, xx

  7. Ew. Punishment. I hope the day never comes when BIKSS uses that word cos our version doesn't feature THAT aspect either.

I hope your back gets better soon. And being a herniated disc sufferer myself I really CAN imagine the pain. Please take care!

  8. "Maybe Harry will remember that punishment doesn't figure in our version of ttwd. I think your version of ttwd just changed a tiny bit. It's not something I bet you'll have to worry about often, but it's going to be there.

    Hope you feel better soon.

  9. OH Rosie not good you are suffering also. Punishments don't often appear in our version of TTWD either as its mainly for fun. Sending positive healing vibes your way for a speedy recovery and hope Harry suffers from amnesia to forget he owes you a spanking. Thank you for what you wrote about me, that is so sweet.
    Hugs Lindy

  10. Hope you and Lindy are pain free soon. Backs go out so easily.
    hugs DF

    1. Thanks DF for your well wishes.
      Hugs Lindy

  11. Backs are so fragile and we treat them badly. Hope you're better soon.

  12. It seems that once a husband feels comfortable and confident in his HOH role, things can take a twist you don't expect. Take care of that back, Rosie.

I have rules about not lifting heavy items, and Sam would not hesitate to remind me of those rules. It certainly makes me remember the next time.

Just Sending a Gentle Hug Today!

  13. Hi Rosie! :) I am so sorry about both your back, and your upcoming punishment! I hope that your back is feeling much, much better!

Sounds like you have a very caring man there! I had a little chuckle when he said, "you can put that in your blog". That is something that Rob will say- in these kinds of cases, or more frequently, when he thinks that he says something clever about spanking. I did NOT have a chuckle at all about the punishment part! I hope that your fella gives you a gentle reminder... sounds like you gave yourself a big enough one there already! :( It's nice to be loved! feel good! Many hugs,

    <3 Katie

  14. Smiled as i read these comments. Your poor back! Those safety things really get under my sweet, mellow husband's skin too. Take care and heal quickly!
